Wellness, Waves & the Wisdom of the Father.

Thank you, Jesus!

Jesus started talking to me a few years ago during a meditation, and now he speaks to me while I sit in Eucharistic adoration. If you don’t know what the Eucharist is, it’s the body of Christ. It’s where I get to listen, where it’s quiet, with Jesus. He is present in the Eucharist. It’s where he really speaks to me, and when I hear his voice.

What Is The Eucharist?

Wait, what? Yes, you read correctly; it’s the body of Jesus. This understanding of the bread miraculously turning into his body, and the vision of Jesus, are for another talk-I’ll share my vision story later. But for now, if you don’t know what it is, it’s the “blessed” bread that all Catholics eat during Mass. I used to call it the “wafer” as a kid, because it was what I looked forward to on Sundays before I ate. I wholeheartedly believe the bread transforms into his body. Not only does Jesus tell us this in the bible, but I’ve seen it myself. And I promise you, he’s really there.

When Did I First Hear God Speak To Me?

Fast-forward to last year: he started speaking to me during a meditation with God, where he literally saved my life from suicide. You can read about my experience here. Now, I am still here, listening to what he’s asking me to do, which is to sit with him and listen. Everyday. So I did.

This past year, I’ve dedicated as much time as possible to attending daily Mass and sitting with him in adoration. Asking him what he wants me to do. What is will is for that day, hour, and present moment. To please open and close doors. Sometimes, he would only give me little answers because he wants me to keep coming back, as well as you. If he gave me all the information I ever needed, then why would I keep coming to him every day? It’s pretty obvious I need my heavenly father, and cannot live without him.

What Did He Tell You Your Purpose Was?

In the last months, as I dedicated my time to spending time with him, God’s told me a lot of things, but the one that stood out to me the last weeks, as my bank account gets down to the wire with no job, is that I need to use my voice. I wasn’t sure if he meant my singing voice, because I do like to sing. So I sought singing at some Churches that did not work out. So I was confused. So when I sat down with him after Thursday’s Mass on July 9th, he specifically told me to use my voice to share our “talks.” So, now it’s a thing!

‘Jesus Talks’ Was Born Within A Day

So, this is my will. To use my voice and relationship-building skills with Jesus and talk about what he says. To tell you my story, and tell us of his good news and love. This is exactly how he answered me when I asked him what his will was and what he wants me to do. Since I am quite lost, losing my job, running out of money, brokenhearted from a breakup, and sick from a mold-infested, sewage-flooded apartment, he still wants me to know: he created me in his image, special, like everyone else. And we came to this Earth, chosen by him, to do something unique. I want everyone to know that everyone, yes, you, all of you, are called to do something, and that you’re here for a reason. A purpose. So what is it? I don’t know. That’s for you to find out and ask God, to have a Jesus talk!

How Do You Talk To Jesus?

I will create another testimonial story about how I was called to daily Mass, to sacrifice my time for souls, and to listen to him in the first place. But for now, I’ll tell you about my talk on July 9th. After Mass and receiving the Eucharist, I sat in Adoration (remember, where Jesus is present). I talk to him like a friend because, let’s face it, he is. I spend time with him and listen. I sacrifice my time and my own will. Don’t we need to do that with people we love anyway? Put aside our own agenda because it’s not always about what we want? I ask him what HE wants me to hear today and what HIS will and purpose is. To get more insight on exactly what he said, I wrote down our conversation, including the laughs, below:

Conversation With God The Father: (K=Kelly, G=God)

K: So, what do you want me to do today?

G: Be you

K: What do you mean?

G: Be love. Be Still

K: But what do you want me to do today? What is your will?

G: Rest

K: But…

G: Trust me, I will provide.

K: But what about my partner? I didn’t get a clear answer on what type of man you want me to marry.

G: Strong, faithful, loving, kind, patient, understanding.

K: But you said something about being rich the other day?

G: Yes, rich in laughter, rich in light, giving. He’s going to know me. He is looking for you. He is saved. He is holy.

K: Okay, thank you. But I am so, so sad. My heart hurts so badly!

G: I am bringing you joy and peace. Do not be afraid.

K: Okay… But what is your will?

G: You are a light. You are not a small speck in the world. You are the light and the love I give you.

K: So to be me? That’s my purpose?

G: Yes, to be you. I made you so uniquely. Don’t you see?

K: No

G: Look in the mirror.

K:  What do you see? (I am sitting in church in front of you; I don’t see anything).

G: A beautiful face, a special heart. I gave you this kind of life so you would know things just like Jesus.

K: I still don’t see anything (my eyes closed).

G: Don’t you see the light?! Your energy, your light, it changes the world!

K: I see now (saw white light beneath my eyes), but what do I do with it?

G: Talk about our talks, talk about your struggles, your story.

K: But I don’t know how?

G: I am here to show you. I know you hear others speak, and it’s not the truth.

K: How will I know if it’s the truth?

G: When it’s love, when it’s kind, when it’s soft.

K: Like my man?

G: The man needs to be heard and hear you; it’s love, you know. Your man will know my kind of love.

K: Are you sure?

G: Trust me! I am sure! I am here always. Come to me every day. Remember what I said.

K: What?

G: The love I have for you. You are loved, like your mother. I am sad when you are sad. Do not be sad; I am with you. I am giving you the world. Just be still and know me, be still and trust me. Trust, trust, trust.

K: Okay, I’ll trust.

G: With trust are you afraid?

K: No, I am not, Father.

G: I am bringing you peace, joy, and understanding. Always trust and follow me. I promise you, if you have trust, I’ll bring you promises. I don’t break promises, but I need you to trust me. You’re not done. I love you more than you’ll ever know.

K: Even in the kingdom of heaven? I won’t know how much you love me?

G: You’ll know, where you have peace forever. But I give you peace now. I am excited for you.

K: I am excited to be your disciple!

G: Yes, I’ve chosen you to be my voice. I give you the strength; be my love, go move mountains, go be the light I gave you. Don’t look back. I think you’re starting to see.

K: But…

G: Don’t listen to the world. Follow your gut, which is me, yes, me, the Holy Spirit. He guides you; he will tell you yes or no. He will open doors and let you talk about your life, your story, your talks.

K: Like, Talks with Jesus? Jesus Talks?

G: (He laughed, smiled, and said) You got it! ‘Jesus Talks.’ Sit with me. I am so proud of you. I am smiling back at you. I love you.

The Message:

These are the exact words God spoke to me as I wrote them down. He told me to share our talks, my stories, and to be me. But most of all, to trust. We cannot follow him and his path unless we trust that he truly has a plan and has our back. He sent Jesus to die for us and to really understand what it’s like to live on this Earth. It’s so difficult, I know, but we are here for a reason. He created us in his image and likeness, and it is up to us to sit with him. He will talk, I promise, if you let him.

I hope you know that you’re so loved, just like he told me, and you’re unique and special. No one else is like you, and we all have a mission. My mission now is to share my Jesus talks, which I’ll be sharing every time.

So follow me on the Sacred Salt Sisters Instagram if you want to share stories, get together with others in faith, and create memories together in the ocean or on the beach. I’ll also be sharing them on my personal Instagram because, let’s face it, only I can be me, and you can only be you.
