A faith-filled toolkit to a lighter you

Spring, the season where everything blooms. It’s time to reset and work on improving our connection with the Holy Spirit and mother nature. Forget all the noise and rid of what no longer serves me.

In Ezekiel 36:26, it says: “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit with you.”

There’s something sacred about the peace this season brings. It’s a loving invitation from God. It’s time to open space for a new place and heart for peace, beauty and the presence of Him.

Here’s how I spring clean my world. I clean from my space, body, skin, and to my soul. I use things I love and product I trust.

I ask myself: does this item bring me joy? Here are some helpful tools that help me get through the clutter:

I love swapping out toxic cleaners for natural ones. It’s such a game-changer, especially since I am prone to all the allergens. I notice right away how much better my home smelled and how much better I felt after ditching the chemicals.

Here are some of my go-to natural cleaning swaps:

  • Castile Soap by Dr. Bronner’s — A true classic! I use Dr. Bronner’s Pure Castile Soap for everything from dishes to countertops to floors. It’s gentle, effective, and comes in amazing scents like lavender and peppermint.
  • Reusable Dishcloths — Ditch the wasteful paper towels. I love using Swedish Dishcloths, which are durable, washable, and compostable once they wear out.
  • Bamboo Brushes — For scrubbing dishes, sinks, or even veggies, Bamboo Cleaning Brushes are a beautiful and eco-friendly option.
  • DIY Natural Cleaning Mix — Mix together simple pantry staples like baking soda, vinegar, and essential oils to make your own safe and effective cleaners. Store your DIY blends in these Amber Glass Spray Bottles to keep them fresh and chemical-free.

Spring is the perfect time to cleanse and lighten ourselves – both body and spirit. Changing your diet isn’t about limitations, but listening to what your body truly wants and needs.

Here are a few gentle, nourishing ways to realign your physical self with the beauty of spring:

  • Clear the Old – Gently let go of heavy, processed foods that no longer serve your body. Support your natural detox process with an herbal tea made from purifying herbs like dandelion, burdock root, and milk thistle—gifts from nature that help your body renew and restore.
  • Embrace Light, Vibrant Foods – Welcome the energy of the season by adding more fresh fruits, greens, and colorful seasonal vegetables to your plate.
  • Drink Clean Water – Stay hydrated by sipping pure, clean water throughout the day. A Glass Water Bottle with Time Markers can keep you motivated and mindful as you nourish your body from the inside out. Try infusing your water with refreshing slices of cucumber, lemon, or mint for an added boost.
  • Create Gratitude Around Meals – Before each meal, pause to say a prayer or blessing over your food. Cultivating gratitude transforms the simple act of eating into a sacred ritual. You might also keep a journal nearby to jot down a few blessings each day, helping you anchor your meals—and your heart—in mindfulness and joy.

Just like we cleanse our homes and our bodies, it’s important to refresh our beauty rituals, too. Choosing clean, non-toxic products isn’t just about what we put on our skin—it’s about how we nurture and honor ourselves each day. ✨

Here are a few simple, feel-good clean beauty rituals to welcome the new season:

  • Dry Brushing Before You Shower – Dry brushing boosts circulation, gently exfoliates the skin, and supports lymphatic drainage. Try a Natural Bristle Dry Brush to awaken your skin each morning.
  • Nourish with a Plant-Powered Face Oil – After cleansing and toning, massage a few drops of a Clean Beauty Face Oil into your skin—or, try my very own Herbal Gypsy Girl Nourishing Face Oil! It’s infused with herbs and plant oils to deeply replenish your skin’s natural glow.
  • Soothe with an Herbal Skin Stick – For dry patches, sunburns, or skin irritation, smooth on my Herbal Gypsy Girl Multi-Use Skin Stick—crafted with healing plants and nourishing butters to support your skin’s natural resilience and help heal your skin naturally.
  • Switch to a Non-Toxic Deodorant – Give your body a break from harsh chemicals by swapping to a Natural Deodorant with Magnesium—it supports the body’s natural detox while keeping you fresh.
  • Protect with a Natural Lip Balm – Coming soon: Herbal Gypsy Girl Lip Balm! Made with botanical oils and beeswax to nourish and protect, without any of the harsh stuff. Until then, choose a Non-Toxic Hydrating Lip Balm for daily use.
  • Create a Weekly Ritual with a Gentle Mask – Set aside a little sacred self-care time once a week with a Clay or Herbal Face Mask. As the mask dries, say a prayer, journal, or just breathe deeply.

As we refresh our homes, bodies, and beauty rituals, it’s just as important to cleanse and nourish our inner world. A digital detox and a reset of our goals can do wonders for the soul—giving us space to breathe, dream, and reconnect to what matters most. 🌿

Here are a few ways to gently cleanse your soul this season:

  • Take a Digital Sabbath – Set aside one day a week (or even just an afternoon) to completely unplug. No social media, no endless scrolling—just space for God to speak into your heart. Consider using a Phone Lock Box or setting your phone to “Do Not Disturb” mode.
  • Journal Your Dreams and Prayers – Writing helps clear mental clutter and align your goals with God’s will. Choose a beautiful Prayer Journal or a Gratitude Journal to reflect on your hopes, prayers, and the lessons of the season.
  • Set Heart-Led Goals – Instead of just “achievements,” focus on how you want to feel: peaceful, aligned, joyful. Write your intentions down and post them somewhere visible—on a Vision Board Kit or your mirror.

Movement is medicine—for both your body and your mind. When we move, we clear stuck energy, release stress, and reconnect with the simple joy of being alive. Whether it’s a slow stretch or a heart-pounding surf session, moving your body is a daily celebration of the gift of life. 🌿

Here are some beautiful ways to move this season:

  • Catch the Surfer’s High – There’s nothing quite like it: paddling out, feeling the salty air, and catching a wave. Surfing releases endorphins that lift your mood naturally, leaving you energized, clear-headed, and full of life. Even if you’re just starting, time in the water is healing. 🏄‍♀️ Consider investing in a comfy Surf Wetsuit or a new Soft-Top Surfboard to get you out there more often!
  • Bike to Feel Free – Riding your bike clears your mind and reconnects you with nature in the best way. It’s playful and powerful. Grab a Beach Cruiser Bike for slow, scenic rides that feel like a moving meditation.
  • Run to Reset Your Mind – Sometimes a short run is all it takes to break free from overthinking. Even a brisk jog around your neighborhood can release tension and invite in fresh ideas. Lightweight, comfortable Running Shoes can make all the difference.
  • Unroll Your Yoga Mat – Flowing through a yoga practice helps stretch tight muscles, calm your nervous system, and realign your spirit. Roll out a Non-Slip Yoga Mat and find your breath again.
  • Swim for Serenity – Swimming is one of the most therapeutic forms of movement—low impact, cleansing, and deeply calming. It’s like a moving prayer. A cute One-Piece Swimsuit or Goggles can make your swims even more fun.

At Herbal Gypsy Girl, I believe true beauty and health flow from how we care for our whole selves—inside and out. After a surf or a swim, I love smoothing on my Nourishing Face Oil or dabbing my Herbal Skin Stick to refresh and hydrate my sun-kissed skin. Self-care, but in tune with the wild and wonderful rhythms of nature. 🌿🌊

Spring is a gift—a chance to refresh your routines, release old energy, and realign with God’s light. Whether you’re cleansing your kitchen or your heart, may every step be rooted in peace, grounded in plants, and accompanied by a little praise music. 🌸🌿

Here’s to clean homes, clear minds, and renewed spirits—Herbal Gypsy style.
